OSRS Royal Titans Guide (Complete Gear & Strategy Guide)

What's going on guys, my name's Theoatrix and welcome to my Royal Titans guide.

Guide Outline

If you would prefer to watch a video-version of this guide, I have linked that below. Otherwise, continue scrolling to read the written-version of this guide.

Requirements

You may consider defeating these bosses for the additional magic and ranged prayers… or Royal Titans can teach PvM mechanics to prepare you for later challenges.

The titans are a duo boss, although they can be fought alone. But, be prepared for a longer fight if you're soloing.

In terms of requirements, there are no strict requirements to partake, but you will have some trouble defeating them without some recommended stats.

So I'd recommend having at least 70 ranged and 70 in the offensive melee stats, so attack and strength. It definitely helps to have some defence levels as well, and having at least level 75 magic is a big help, allowing you to 1 hit the elementals.

At minimum, you’ll want to have 43 prayer for the protection prayers too.

Getting to Titans

Now aside from combats, there are some other recommendations.

Like getting fairy rings unlocked, which dramatically speeds up the travel time getting to titans. So that requires partial completion of Fairytale part 2.

And level 60 agility is another help, which gives access to the shortcut when accessing the titans, and this saves a fair bit of time running around.

So the royal titans are located in Asgarnia ice dungeon, which is near mudskipper point. To get there, the fastest way there is using a Giantsoul amulet teleport, but that requires already defeating the royal titans…

So another way to get there is using the AIQ fairy ring which takes you close by, then you can take the 60 agility shortcut if you have it.

Alternatively, you could teleport to your house in Rimmington and run there, or you could run from Draynor.

Titans Mechanics

Next I want to cover the mechanics of the titans.

There are 2 phases to the battle, and in the first phase, the titans can bring on 2 types of attacks. There's the walls, where you need to cast the opposite elemental spell to clear it. For this, you can stand on one of the tiles that the wall is going to spawn on, and it nulls that part of the wall. This allows you to bring thralls instead of the standard spellbook.

A blast spell at the minimum is needed to clear the walls so you should have at least 59 magic for fire blast. There is no minimum magic bonus needed, but make sure to at least bring a staff so you don't splash.

The other attack is the minions, which spawn in sets of 3. To defeat these, you once again need to cast a spell of the opposite element. In order to one shot the minions you need a plus 70 magic attack bonus, or a 39 bonus with void.  Failing to do so, they eventually explode and deal some damage.

Since this is a duo boss I would recommend having one person who has a mage switch on the standard spellbook, dealing with the minions and the walls, and the other person being on the Arceuus spellbook for more damage with thralls.

Also during phase 1, the royal titans have a stomping action, where they come closer within melee distance. Protecting from melee negates all damage from this, and for the entire battle in fact, you’ll want to be praying melee…

Once one of the titans goes below 210 hitpoints, they both enter their second phase, where they sit on their thrones.

During phase 2, there is the elemental blast attack, where one tile is marked as safe, and after some time, they’ll blast the remaining tiles, dealing 30 damage per blast.

Overall, you want to aim to kill the titans at the same time because the fight gets more difficult after defeating one, like the stomp attack hits through prayer, and the elemental blast spawns on the opposite side of the arena.

If you're soloing, the fight isn't much different except for the fact that its longer and you have to deal the full damage to both titans. But, I would recommend always duoing as it makes kill times faster and doesn’t lessen your odds of getting the uniques.

Fight Walkthrough

Alright, now I'm going to take you on a complete fight run through, and for this I'm showing a solo so you can take in all the details of the fight.

So starting off, I go in with protect melee and target Branda, and pretty quickly, the titans spawn their wall attack, so I cast a water spell on the fire one, and fire on the water. Then the minions are spawned, and with a decent defence, you can just tank these minions since they don't hit much.

Once Branda is below 210 hitpoints, the fight enters phase 2 and the titans sit down. So then, I target the ice king instead, ignoring the minions but this time there's the elemental blast, so I run to the safe tile.

And the fight continues with more minions spawning, and more elemental blast attacks, and during the elemental blasts, you can continue attacking the bosses.

Then as the fight comes to an end, I get the titans both very low hitpoints, then I defeat them at the same time.

Gear Progression

So next up I'm going to cover gear for royal titans, and essentially you'll need all 3 combat styles, but they are used against different things within the fight.

At minimum you want to be bringing black dhide with a fighter torso, along with a zombie axe. The titans are weak to crush, so bring your best crush weapon and a strong ranged weapon. You'll also want magic for the walls and minions, and my inventory consists of 4 prayer pots, a ranged and combat pot, and some karambwans.

Another low level setup you can bring is a full void setup. This has minimal switches, meaning you can bring the most amount of supplies to the titans, and as long as you have 39 magic bonus, you can one shot all of the minions.

An example mid level setup would be bringing blood moon armour and eclipse moon as well. There's also the crystal halberd which is an excellent special attack option.

Any for the high level setup, this is the max gear. It includes Masori with a Zaryte crossbow, a blowpipe, Oathplate with a scythe, the noxious halberd, and burning claws.

Loot From Titans

Overall, the average loot from a titans kill is about 100k.

Getting one of the prayers unlocked is a 1 in 75 drop. And you specifically want to target the ice king for the ranged prayer, and you want to target the fire queen for the magic prayer.

And there are a range of other interesting drops like the Twinflame staff, which is created by combining 2 drops, one from each titan.

There's also the desiccated pages drops, which can be converted to burned, soiled or soaked pages, or they can also be converted for runecrafting experience..

Now in terms of ironmen, you can get decent supplies from the titans, with alchables, runes, herbs and ores available…

And last but not least there’s the pet dropped at a rate of 1 in 3000 … but there’s an option to sacrifice your non-unique loot which makes the pet 1/1500.

Anyways that's my complete Royal Titans guide for Old School Runescape.
