OSRS Dagannoths (Slayer Task Guide)

What's going on guys, my names Theoatrix and welcome to my Dagannoths slayer task guide. Being a task you can fight in multicombat with a cannon, Dagannoths can be one of the fastest slayer XP tasks in the game.

Slayer Task Info

They can be assigned by 5 different slayer masters, ranging from 40 at a time to up to 200.

Konar, Nieve and Duradel assign the highest quantities, but its not possible to extend a dagganoths task with slayer reward points. To be able to be assigned a dagannoths task in the first place, you need to complete the horror from the deep quest, and I do recommend completing the quest because these tasks are great slayer XP.

Regular dagannoths attack with 2 different attack styles, melee and ranged, so this means, even with protection prayers, you will need to bring some food along to your task. But if you have the Fremennik isle completed, the daganoths in Jormungand’s prison only attack with melee.

Next I'll show you how to get the fastest, most AFK and most profit out of your dagannoths slayer task.

Fastest XP

For the absolute best slayer XP per hour, you need to use a cannon on dagannoths in a multicombat area.

This brings in the best XP rates for this task, and for an additional 15% slayer XP per hour, bringing a venator bow is your best bet. This allows you to attack multiple dagannoths, although if using your best melee setup, you can expect at least a 15 percent reduction.

Dagannoths in mutlicombat cannonable areas can be found in the lighthouse, Waterbirth Island, or Jormangand’s prison. The best of the 3 is the prison, where you can camp protect melee. Although the lighthouse is the most easily accessed for all accounts, where you can get there easily with the ALP fairy ring or with a games necklace to barbarian assault.

To absolutely maximise your XP rates, you should melee the dagannoths with high health, and then move on from them once they are at around 30 hitpoints. Then your cannon can defeat them.

Most AFK

Now, for the most afk slayer XP on this task, you want to set up a cannon but you wont be actively clicking.

The cannon maintains the agression of the dagannoths, and its best to do this in the prison since they all use melee, and you can safely afk for longer.

But, there are 2 other ways of AFKing a dagannoth task. They are aggressive monsters, meaning they can attack you for 10 minutes before you need to reset the aggression. Or you can use goading potions for 6 minutes of afk time.

Most Profit

Now for the most profit per hour, you want to complete your task at the dagannoth kings.

DKs currently can make up to 2.5 mil an hour on average, with notable drops like the berserker ring and archers ring. This requires high stats and gear, and for a more in depth guide on the dagannoth kings, I will link that once it's uploaded.
