OSRS Araxxor Guide

Araxxor is a new level 890 spider boss found in the morytania spider nest north of darkmeyer. It is the boss variant of the araxytes and can only be killed on an araxyte slayer task.

Requirements

To be able to fight Araxxor, you need to have:

• Level 92 slayer

• Must get the task from either Nieve or Duradel

In terms of stats, its recommended to have:

• at least 90 in the melee combat stats

• at least 70 prayer for piety

Getting To Araxxor

To get there, the fastest way there is using a spider cave teleport, which you can buy off the grand exchange. Although, those are very expensive right now… so another fast way there is using a hallowed sepulchre teleport crystal and running east to where you can place two long ropes to get over the wall. You can purchase long ropes from the darkmeyer general store for 50k each. After you scale the wall, you run north to the cave. Alternatively, a lower requirement way there is using the ALQ fairy ring and run south to the spider cave entrance.

Gear & Inventory

This is the best in slot gear you can wear at araxxor.

You should bring your best crush weapon, so a scythe is best in slot, followed by the inquisitors mace and bludgeon. Crush and strength boosting armour is best, so a combination of torva and inquisitors.

You'll need to bring antivenom potions, as well as super combats and prayer restoring potions.

Araxxor's Mechanics

Araxxor will use melee attacks if youre in melee distance, and when youre out of distance, mage attacks are used.

There are 3 different coloured spiders in araxxors lair, red white and green. The red spider comes towards you and blows up, dealing high damage. Its best to run away from this spider so that it doesn’t damage you, but you can lure it over araxxor so that the explosion damage hits araxxor.

The white spider, known as the reflection spider, deals damage to you if you damage araxxor, so you should kill this spider. And you can also use mage and range to defeat this spider.

And the green spider attacks with ranged, and this one explodes after you kill it. You can one shot it with a crush weapon since it will always hit the max hit, although in max gear, you can safely ignore the green spider and tank it.

Every 7 times araxxor attacks, araxxor does a special which is dependent on the spider that spawns on the most eastern side of the room.

If the red spider is the most eastern, arraxor will create venom pools which follow the player for 3 ticks.

If the green spider is the most eastern, araxxor uses a venom bomb every 7 attacks. This damages the player for 18 venom damage, and leads trail of venom. It also explodes on impact with a wall, then splatters a large area with venom.

If the white spider is the most eastern spider , then araxxor throws out multiple venom projectiles towards the player, which deal a small amount of damage if hit.

When araxxor reaches 25% health, it enters an enraged phase. In this phase, araxxor attacks with a 1 by 3 poison splatter every attack, which you have to dodge to avoid venom damage. The spider also gains +35 defence in this phase.

Full Fight Runthrough

So starting out, I check which spider colour is the most eastern one.

You can see that the white egg sack is the most eastern spider sack, so araxxor will use the multiple venom projectile attack.

So I fight with protect melee active until the white spider targets me. Then I quickly defeat the white spider to avoid the recoil damage.

I continue fighting and dealing damage until another spider comes out, the red one. So for this, I run near araxxor, then run a few tiles away, and the spider deals 80 damage to araxxor.

The fight continues, and I dodge the venom on the ground, and araxxor reaches 25% health, so it starts its enrage phase. So every time it attacks, I move a couple of tiles away so that the 1 by 3 venom splat doesn’t damage me.

Upon killing araxxor, to loot it, you click harvest on the corpse, and youre rewarded with your loot. If players decide to destroy the corpse instead, they will receive no loot but will roll the pet twice instead. This is purely for people hunting for the pet who do not care about anything else.
