What's going on guys, my name's Theoatrix and this guide will show you everything you need to know to earn your first BILLION GP in Old School Runescape.
Guide Outline
If you would prefer to watch a video-version of this guide, I have linked that below. Otherwise, continue scrolling to read the written-version of this guide.
Game Updates
The number 1 way to make your first billion in Oldschool Runescape... is to read the game updates.

While prices are high, you can farm day 1 drops to make huge amounts of money…

Or, you could also supply the update hype by flipping or crafting whatever that update consumes. like when Yama came out, the price of pineapple pizzas doubled.
But also, patch notes can be a source of profit too, like when Jagex announces the rebalancing of certain items or sources. Like when Jagex announced the changes to magic and magical equipment, a range of items soared in price.

There are other ways to interpret updates which can affect the price, like when it was almost confirmed that there wouldn't be a leagues for Oldschool this year, people invested into some of the leagues items in the main game. Since they're a discontinued item for this year, the price of twisted canes for example has increased 10 fold.
But with speculative investing, you should never park all of your GP into one item, and you should always check the GE taxes because they can eat away into your profit.
Speculative investing can also include investing into potions and food if a new boss gets announced, or with sailing, a lot of items have fluctuated in value, with things like copper ore more recently increasing.
First 10 Million
All of these investing methods require a fair bit of starting capital to make a solid income, so lets circle back to making your first 10 million.
Free-to-Play

Earning your first 10 mil is a big milestone for your account, not only allowing you to profit more off game updates, but allowing you to upgrade your gear and train some of the more expensive skills… but if you're starting in free to play, its going to be very difficult to earn your first 10 million, or your first 15 million if you're trying to get a bond….

But, if you're in free to play, its possible to get short membership packages on the RS3 mobile app. On here, you can buy a 1 day, 3 day or 7 day membership package, and on android, a 1 day membership is only 99 cents in the USA. I believe they are slightly more expensive on IOS due to the apple tax, but getting a 1 day or even a 3 day membership will considerably boost your potential money makers, since members methods are literally 10 times better than free to play ones.
But.. if you don't want to spend a cent on the game, I've linked the best free to play money makers here, but they're pretty boring methods, so I wont cover them here…
Members
So as a member, how do you earn your first 10 mil?

Looting items is a pretty big one for members with no requirements, where you can loot at places like the catacombs of Kourend, at dust devils or Nechryaels, where players leave tonnes of loot on the ground.
Or there's also looting on a PvP world, where ammunition and drops on the ground can make you hundreds of k per hour.
Crafting & Enchanting Jewellery

But there's one reliable way to make money that I recommend, and that is crafting and enchanting jewellery, particularly silver jewellery.
For example, if you crafted and enchanted burning amulets, you can currently make over 2 mil profit per hour. The expeditious bracelets and bracelets of slaughter are also extremely profitable to make at this time, over 1 mil profit per hour.
Crystal Keys

But potentially the best money maker right now that has no requirements, is creating crystal keys. This just involves combining a loop half with a tooth half of key, and with the current GE prices, its over 3 mil profit per hour, but I don't know how long that's going to last.
Other Processing Methods

So with that, there are a range of processing methods out there that can make millions per hour but they all come down to the current GE prices, so be sure to test it out before going fully into a method. Some other processing methods that make a lot of money include poisoning items, like dragon knives, or also breaking down bracelets of ether. There’s also crushing unicorn horns which could be a decent money maker, but really does depend on the GE.
Redwood Pyre Logs

Another one is creating redwood pyre logs, which just requires the Shades of Morton quest, and this brings in 800k profit per hour at this point in time.
Tanning Cowhides

Or, the trusty old method, tanning cowhides, brings in about 400k GP per hour profit with no requirements, other than a little bit of starting capital.
Clue Scrolls

Now, another way to make your first 10 mil is completing clue scrolls, and even with low stats, easy and medium clue scrolls can bring in bank.
Currently, one easy clue scroll completion averages 40k in loot, and mediums are over 160k average loot per clue.
Skilling

But most importantly, you can make money just by playing the game, by skilling and training your stats. You can start herb runs pretty early on, and there's a range of recurring tasks that are worth it for the early game. Most importantly, level up to a point to where you can earn good money. If you prioritize training your account, the money will come passively with new method unlocks.
First 100 Million
So you've made your first 10 mil, lets step it up and I'll show you how to earn your first hundred million. I mentioned at the start of the video that game updates are the most profitable content in the game…

Well, fighting the delve boss, Doom, currently brings in up to 53 million GP per hour, meaning you could earn your first billion in 20 hours… but that does require a lot of stats and gear. That is by far the fastest way to earn your first billion, and it goes to show really how profitable game updates can be, considering Doom has been out for a few months now.
Tormented Synapse
So with that, at this point in time the best thing you can do is work towards buying a tormented synapse, and then creating a scorching bow. And then you can effectively fight doom, although doom is an end game boss and is quite difficult, so here are some methods you can do to work your way up to Doom.
Skilling

Training your skills is going to be an important stepping stone to earn consistent profits. Skills such as Runecrafting, hunter or thieving all make a decent chunk of money, even while training your account up.

For example, thieving Vyres is currently over 2 mil GP per hour if you get everything on the drop rate, and hunting black Chinchopmas earns you 750k per hour. So on the screen, I'm displaying all of the best skilling money makers in the game, and you should definitely choose a skill and stick to it to start earning bank. If I had to choose one, I would pick thieving.

Now there's one other skill which can make you a multi millionaire, and that is slayer. Currently, the most profitable slayer boss is Araxxor, unlocked at level 92, and Araxxor brings in over 5 mil profit per hour at this point in time. But Araxxor isn't an outlier, there's a range of other slayer bosses and slayer monsters that make millions per hour. And you can also get boss tasks from high level slayer masters, which could assign you a boss like Vardorvis for 7 mil profit per hour.
Corrupted Gauntlet

One other piece of content that is excellent since it requires zero starting capital, is completing the corrupted gauntlet. With no money and being gearless, you can make over 4 mil profit per hour if you get everything on the drop rate. You’ll want to aim for 80s in the combat stats as well as completion of song of the elves, and CG is possibly one of the best ways to earn your first 100 mil, although can be a large learning curve.
Nex

A boss that has fairly low gear requirements that you can fight without a big bankroll, is massing Nex. This currently brings in over 5 mil profit per hour, and you can get away with just using a dragon crossbow , worth about a mil. With a dragon crossbow it will take a while to actually get a drop, but it is possible and it does pay off.
Yama

If you go the route of getting your tormented synapse early, then you can also defeat Yama for a considerable amount of money. Currently, doing duo Oathplate contracts, you can earn over 20 mil profit per hour if you get everything on the drop rates. Oathplate contracts are extremely hard though, even for top level players, but if you get good at them, you can consistently make bank.
Chambers of Xeric

And of course, raiding deserves a mention, being one of the biggest money makers in the game, and currently, the Chambers of Xeric is very profitable… Completing chambers with regular gear and stats, you can earn over 8 mil profit per hour if you're decent at the raid.
TOA & TOB

The Theatre of Blood is also very profitable, where in trios you can earn over 10 mil an hour. And for the tombs of Amascut, the profit rates have actually come down quite a bit since the shadow has plummeted. Realistically, you'll be earning about 7 mil an hour at TOA, although the profit rates of all these do vary since it really depends on your stats, your gear, and your team.
Recurring Methods

There's one type of method that I haven't spoken about yet, and that is recurring methods, including herb runs, Miscellania, Battlestaves and dynamite. Depending on your farming level, herb runs can earn you over 2 mil profit per hour, if you only add up the time taken to do the run. The prices of herbs changes constantly, but essentially the more expensive herbs are the best profit, as long as you're using Ultracompost and have some disease free patches.

Managing Miscellania is one that usually wouldn't be worthwhile on a main, but its possible to earn 70k GP per day passively doing this, and that adds up to 2.1 mil a month, for doing next to nothing. The Battlestaves after the Varrock diary can earn a decent amount of cash too, and with elite, you earn about 120k GP profit per day. There's also claiming dynamite from the Kourend diary, and with elite, you make 34k a day or 1 mil a month.
Clue Scrolls

Now, if you have higher stats, clue scrolls can be your ticket to the billionaire status. If you account for the massive prices of the 3rd age items, completing a master clue scroll currently is worth 1 mil on average. Elite clues are about 400k per casket, although the profit rate can vary a lot depending on your RNG.
Alternative Methods
At this point, you may also consider making an alt account, and here are the best AFK money makers that you can do on your alts to earn your first billion.

Rune dragons have been a viable alt method for a long time now, but does require the dragon slayer 2 quest. There's also brutal black dragons which are extremely profitable, but require 77 slayer. Or there's AFKing skeletal wyverns, Dagannoth Rex, or Vyrewatch sentinels for a decent AFK profit rate.

On the topic of alts, you can also use them to have greater access to the Grand Exchange. This could involve flipping, where for example, you could buy the limit of Zulrah scales every 4 hours, and sell them back for 2 coins higher, essentially flipping 60k in profit. Then, if you have alt accounts, you can essentially double or triple your profit. So in theory, you could make 360k per day, or double or triple that, just by leaving offers in the grand exchange. Zulrah scales may not be the best item for it, so I'd suggest looking around at items with high trade volumes to see if there's any better margins.

So as a whole, I find that the less you focus on actually making GP, the easier it is to acquire. What I mean, is you could go thieve Vyres for thieving XP, and then the profit comes as a bonus. This is important for avoiding burnout and demotivation, and while some methods may be slower GP per hour, they are sometimes the better method to do since you will actually enjoy yourself. Like for example, you could do 10 hours of Vorkath… or you could do 15 hours of various activities, like slayer, thieving and other bosses, and you could end up with the same amount of profit.
Stats
And to finish the video, I have a couple of interesting stats for you.

If you were to buy bonds to get your first 1 billion GP, it's going to cost around 600 US dollars.
And if you used the infinite money pouch, which gives 1 GP every time you click it, its going to take 19 years to earn 1 billion GP.
That's it for my guide on how to make your first BILLION GP in Old School Runescape.
