Hybrid - Blast Furnace

Doing hybrid methods at the blast furnace, you get fast XP rates while making a profit.

For example with a hybrid of mithril and gold, you start with an inventory of gold and a full coal bag, and then an inventory of mithril with a full coal bag. So you essentially make mithril and gold at the same time.

You can also do adamant, and rune with gold, each with an extra run of gold for more coal.

With a rune gold hybrid, it brings in nearly 1 mil GP per hour, while giving at least 250k XP per hour.

Training at the blast furnace normally, you can already make over 600k GP per hour with steel bars, while getting nearly 100k XP per hour.

Mithril, adamant and rune are all highly profitable as well.

Giants Foundry

The Giants Foundry is another profitable smithing training area, and with bronze iron alloys, its possible to get nearly 100k XP per hour while profiting over 180k.

The most profitable alloy at the Giants Foundry is actually the iron steel alloy, which gives nearly 250k GP per hour. All of the alloys are profitable except for rune adamant, where you lose over a mil an hour.

So if you're looking for a balance between fast XP and profit, the best option is mithril adamant alloys at level 70 . These give nearly 200k XP per hour, while profiting.
