Best Minigame Rewards in OSRS

What's going on guys, my names Theoatrix and today I'm going to cover the best minigame rewards in OSRS.

Guide Outline

If you would prefer to watch a video-version of this guide, I have linked that below. Otherwise, continue scrolling to read the written-version of this guide.

New Miniame

Only recently, Jagex introduced a new minigame, Mastering Mixology, which brought a range of new items to the game.
ree

One of the new items, called the chugging barrel, lets you sip 5 potions at once, perfect for raiding. You open the device to add potion doses to it, then you can just left click to drink all 5.

ree

The prescription goggles are another nice addition to the game, where they give a 10% chance to save a secondary ingredient in herblore.

A 10% chance to save a secondary is a lot for those expensive potions. For example, with Saradomin brews, you save 1 in 10 crushed nests, which averages a 700 GP saving per potion.

ree

Another addition is the Alchemists Amulet, which has a 15% chance to give a 4 dose potion instead of 3 when training herblore, a 10% increased chance from the regular Amulet of Chemistry. Jagex recently increased the number of charges it holds to 5000, which made it a far better reward.

ree

The Reagent pouch is another new herblore item, which stores 26 of each secondary ingredient. This makes collecting secondaries a bit more efficient, but most importantly, you can make potions with secondaries from the bag, meaning you could make 26 of any potion, when you could normally make only 14.

ree

Lastly, Potion storage was introduced with mixology, where you can earn a separate bank space strictly made for potions and unfinished potions. This clears up a tonne of bank space, and can help with organization.

Skilling Outfits

For most of the skilling outfits in Oldschool, you have to complete minigames to get them.

There are 7 minigames that reward skilling outfits.

ree

From the Shades of Morton minigame, you can obtain the Zealot robe set. With the whole set, you get a 5% chance to save a bone while training prayer. It also gives a 5% chance to save an ensouled head, and also 5% to save bone shards when training at the Varlamore prayer method.

Aside from the saving effect, the Zealot robe set provides one of the highest prayer bonuses in the game, close to proselyte.

ree

The Lumberjack outfit obtained from Temple Trekking gives 2.5% woodcutting XP boost with the whole set on. Each individual piece gives a 0.5% increase, then with all 4 pieces, you get an extra 0.5% totally 2.5. With the recent updates to temple trekking, it now takes less than 30 minutes to get the entire set, making it an important armour set for your journey to 99 woodcutting. The lumberjack outfit is also required for a master clue step, so this is a set you should definitely get.

ree

The Fishing Trawler minigame rewards the angler outfit, which gives a 2.5% fishing XP boost with the whole set. If you're on the droprate, its going to take 4 hours to get the full set. As a whole, it is worth the time to get the 2.5% XP increase if you're doing the slower fishing methods. But if you're 3 tick and 2 ticking, the 4 hours spent getting the set will take longer than the time you save.

ree

From the Tithe farm minigame, you can get the farmers outfit, which provides 2.5% additional farming experience. Since farming is a fast skill, having the skilling outfit is not entirely necessary. You will spend more time getting the outfit than the time it will save. But, the Farmers hat is required for an elite clue step, so that piece is often obtained by players.

ree

The Rogues Den minigame rewards the rogues thieving outfit, and each piece of this set gives a chance at double loot when thieving, and with the full set, there's a 100% chance of getting double the loot.

This set is strongly recommended for all types of accounts, where for example, when thieving blood shards or crystal seeds, you receive double the drop when you get it. It also doubles the seeds from pickpocketing master farmers, useful for ironmen.

ree

From the Guardians of the Rift minigame, you can obtain the raiments of the eye set. Each piece of the set gives 10% more runes when runecrafting, and with the whole set you get an additional 20% extra runes, totalling 60% for the whole set.

This outfit takes a while to get… but if you choose to train runecrafting at the guardians of the rift, you will eventually get the set.

The outfit boosts the profitability of runecrafting, where for example, with max efficiency nature runes, you'd normally make 1.6 mil per hour without the set, but wearing the raiments of the eye boosts that to 2.8 mil GP per hour.

ree

From the Giants Foundry, you can obtain the smiths uniform, which speeds up anvil smithing. With the whole set, you save 1 tick per item, essentially speeding it up by 20%.

With adamant platebodies, this boosts the XP rate from 240k per hour, up to 300k XP per hour.

It does take over 5 hours to get the full outfit though, making it not entirely worth going out of your way to get.

Fast XP Minigames

Some minigames give high XP rates, and some are even the fastest viable experience in the game.
ree

One example is the blast furnace, which gives the best viable smithing XP in the game with gold bars. You can get over 600k smithing XP per hour at the blast furnace if you have 3 runners doing gold. Normally you'd get over 300k per hour as a solo player. Its also an excellent money maker with other types of metal, where the highest profit comes from rune Bars, making 1.8 mil GP per hour...

ree

Another minigame with decent XP rates is the Brimhaven agility arena. It's even the fastest agility method in the game from level 15, where you can just click in the same spot to constantly gain experience.

ree

Trouble brewing was recently updated and now has one of the best fletching training methods for ironmen, giving over 200k XP per hour with no materials required.

ree

Tears of Guthix is another minigame great for experience, where it technically gives the highest XP per hour for some skills. If your lowest stat is 50 runecrafting, you'll get around 6k XP as a reward, in 4 minutes of playtime, translating to 90K XP per hour.

ree

The Hallowed Sepulchre is another fast XP minigame, where it provides the fastest agility XP in the game from level 61. It’s the fastest possible agility XP if you're efficient and don't loot much at all.

ree

The volcanic mine minigame has competitive XP rates, getting close to 3 tick granite for much less effort. Although it can be hard to find a team.

ree

The Pyramid Plunder minigame is the one of the fastest thieving methods in the game from level 91 to 99. It also has the Pharohs Sceptre drop, which is essential to get for ironmen.

Untradeable Rewards

From minigames, there are also a range of untradeable rewards that are highly beneficial for your account.

ree

The barbarian assault minigame rewards you with the fighter torso, which has a strength bonus on par with the Bandos chestplate.

ree

Castle wars provides some of the best armour for Pures. The decorative mage and range armour provides better defensive stats than iron armour.

ree

The duel arena, now known as Emirs arena, is a fast way to earn your imbues, especially if you go with a group of friends.

ree

Last man standing is a great place for ironmen to earn a rune pouch, and for ultimate ironmen to get a looting bag.

ree

The mage arena is considered to be a minigame, and the cape reward is an essential mage upgrade for all accounts.

ree

Pest control rewards you with void knight armour, which still provides competitive stats and bonuses for such an old piece of armour.

ree

Soul wars can be a great way to get imbues for your slayer helmet and rings, and its also a great way for early game ironmen to get some resources from the spoils of war reward.

ree

And lastly for the untradeables is the defenders from the warriors guild. Fighting the Cyclopses is not exactly a minigame, but you obtain tokens from the various minigames throughout the guild.

Transmogs

To finish the guide, I want to talk about the rewards from the bounty hunter minigame.

Jagex released a wide range of transmogs for popular PK items…

ree
  • We have the dragon claws transmog.

  • The dragon warhammer.

  • Elder chaos druid robes.

  • Dragon armour transmogs.

  • And the elder maul transmog.

Plus more…

Anyways guys, that's the best minigame rewards in OSRS.

What would you say is the BEST minigame reward out of all of them? Personally, I would say that void knight armour from pest control is super essential. Thanks for reading.
