What's going on guys, my name's Theoatrix and today I'll show you 20 slayer tips and tricks for Old School Runescape.

Ornament Kits
Having ornament kits on your items can save you a lot of money if you die. Since they make your item untradeable, you don't have to pay any fee to retrieve the item.
An example is the torture ornament kit… instead of having to pay 100k to retrieve it, you'll keep it on death. Another is the occult necklace ornament, a common item that you can save on death. Take note though, that this only works with tradeable ornament kits, so be sure to check the items kept on death interface to ensure it works.
Goading Potions
Goading potions improve burstable tasks since the monsters automatically gain aggression. This increases your XP rates since you don’t spend any time getting the monsters to attack you.
However, these potions are extremely expensive right now, currently going for over 100k per potion, so if money is an issue, you might want to wait a little while before trying these.
Cannoning
In a single-way combat area, you can cannon from a safe spot and it will shoot as if its mutli-combat. This can speed up your slayer XP rate, and you can do this in the chasm of fire, in Nieve's cave, and more.
Cannon Reloading
To reload your cannon faster, you can use your cannonballs on it, and this will instantly process them into the cannon. Clicking on your cannon to reload it takes an extra couple of seconds, and it also takes you out of combat. You can also use the cannon pieces individually on the cannon to assemble it faster than auto assembling.
Drop Rates
On certain slayer tasks, the monsters have increased drop rates on rare items. For example, the Basilisk jaw drop from Basilisk knights is usually one in five thousand, but on task, its only 1 in 1k. The same goes with the new Araxxytes - the Aranea boots are 1 in 4k, and drop down to 1 in 1.6 whenever you're on task.
Mob Aggression
The new goading potions increase the AFK times of all non aggressive tasks, where monsters will keep targeting you for 6 minutes per dose. This can be useful against monsters like bloodvelds, abyssal demons, and a lot of other monsters, where they aren't normally aggressive.
Prayer Regen Potion
The prayer regeneration potion makes slayer even more AFK, where you can sustain protection prayers for longer periods of time. You could previously only AFK for around 5 minutes with full Proselyte, but with prayer regeneration potions, that becomes at least 7 minutes.
Bursting
Aside from the well known burstable monsters, you can also burst dagannoths and jellies in the catacombs, with a similar method to all of the other burstable monsters.
Saradomin Godsword
Despite the fact that you can only deal damage to Turoths and Kurasks with leaf bladed weapons, the Saradomin Godsword special attack will still heal you and regenerate your prayer for what you would have hit on these monsters, even though you hit a zero.
Duo Slayer
Doing partner slayer with a coordinated duo partner is a lot faster for points than doing solo slayer. But if you want XP, partner slayer is not the best. So in a duo, you can do wilderness slayer or Turael boosting together, and its faster because the total monsters required to kill doesn’t double in duos, so you can complete tasks a lot faster.
NMZ Slayer
You can complete some slayer tasks in the Nightmare Zone… You can fight black demons or trolls within the minigame, and they count towards your task. It’s a good way to gain some combat experience while you're there, since you can use overload potions.
Jad Tasks
Don't skip your Jad tasks if you're going for XP. With an average time of 40 minutes in the fight caves, you'll average 60k slayer XP per hour. That’s a lot more than most tasks - but if you ever don’t feel like doing a Jad task, its always a free skip by entering and exiting.
Explorers Ring
You should bring your explorers ring to burstable tasks so that you can alch items while still being on the ancient spellbook. The 4th tier of the explorers ring gives you 30 high alch charges per day, and the ones below it are low alch, which is still better than nothing.
Task Storage
Task storage lets you freely swap between tasks with zero point cost. For example, if you don't feel like doing a boss task right now, you can store it and continue with regular slayer until you're ready to boss.
Bonecrusher
With a bonecrusher in your inventory, defeating monsters that drop bones will restore your prayer points if you're in the catacombs of Kourend. Its 1 prayer point for regular bones, 2 for big bones, and 4 for dragon bones. Outside of the catacombs, you can use a bonecrusher with a dragonbone necklace to have this effect work everywhere.
88 Agility
Having 88 agility unlocks every slayer shortcut in the game, where at 88 you can safely navigate through to the alchemical hydra. Shortcuts like the ones in the Taverley dungeon are essential in getting decent XP rates. You can boost with a summer pie to access these shortcuts 5 levels early too.
Cannon Runelite Plugin
In the cannon Runelite plugin, you can turn on "show double hit spots" to know which tiles are best for the monsters to stand on. You can also turn on "show common cannon spots" to have a better idea of where to place your cannon for the best experience.
Task Skipping with Turael
You can skip tasks with Turael to find exactly the task you're after. For example, if you really want to fight Araxxor , you can skip at Turael until you get a spiders task, which works for Araxxor. You can also do a bears task at Callisto, a rats task at Scurrius, a monkeys task at demonic gorillas, Vorkath counts as a zombie, and more. Take note that resetting your task at Turael resets your task streak, so this is only useful if you don’t care about your streak, or you get your points from the wilderness master.
Turael Point Boosting
So that was Turael skipping, but Turael point boosting is one of the best ways to earn slayer points. This is where you do 9 tasks at Turael, then your 10th task at a higher point slayer master. The wilderness master is faster points than Turael boosting but there is a lot less risk.
NPC Contact Spell
To get a slayer task from anywhere, you can use the NPC contact spell to talk to a slayer master. This can save a lot of time with getting to Duradel in particular, if you don’t have Karamja gloves 4. Using NPC contact does require you to be on the lunar spellbook though, which can be a setback.
