What's going on guys, my name's Theoatrix and today I'm showing you 10 profitable ways to 99 crafting in Old School Runescape, let's get into it.
Guide Outline
If you would prefer to watch a video-version of this guide, I have linked that below. Otherwise, continue scrolling to read the written-version of this guide.
Stringing Jewellery
From level one you instantly have access to a highly profitable crafting method. Stringing topaz amulets currently brings in 1 million GP profit per hour, mostly due to the high demand of burning amulets.

While profiting a mil, you also get 10K crafting XP per hour right from level one. Going from 1 to 30 crafting would take about an hour but you'd make over 1 mil doing it. To do this method you need balls of wool and unstrung topaz amulets, then you use them on each other and select to create them all, you automatically process up to 14 at a time with an AFK interval of around 16 seconds.
There are other amulets that are also profitable to string like Jade, Ruby and Diamond amulets but Topaz give the most profit right now.
Clockworks
The next profitable crafting method is making Clockworks. Clockworks are in high demand for birdhouse runs and by making them you can get 500k profit per hour.

You need level 8 crafting to make them and you can expect to get around 15K crafting XP per hour, so this is faster than stringing amulets but it's not as profitable to make Clockworks.
You bring steel bars to a crafting table in a player owned house and you can use someone else's house if you don't have one. This is a fairly click intensive method and I would only recommend doing this over stringing amulets if you don't have as much starting capital.
Limestone Bricks
At level 12 crafting you can start creating Limestone bricks. To do that, you use a chisel on limestone repeatedly.

This currently gives at least 30K XP per hour, while giving 500K in profit. However, those rates are at level 40 crafting. You sometimes fail to make the Limestone brick, but that stops at level 40.
Since you can spam it like Fletching darts it's possible to make more than 500k in an hour if you train intensely, but 500k is the average.
Drift Nets
With level 26 crafting you can create drift nets. The best loom to use is on Fossil Island, since it's the closest one to a bank.

You currently profit around 650k GP per hour doing this, while getting 60k crafting XP at the same time. Which is excellent for a level 26 method.
Birdhouses
With logs and clockwork you can make birdhouses for profitable crafting XP. You need level 5 crafting to make the first tier of birdhouse, and even with those you'll get 40K crafting XP per hour.

Although, the regular log birdhouse is not that profitable to make. Higher tier bird houses tend to make more profit, where the profit is around 100 GP per birdhouse for low-level bird houses and 200 GP for higher ones.
With redwood bird houses you get around 145k crafting XP per hour while profiting 200k. To really make money with this method, you need to be patient with the grand exchange. Buy the logs and the Clockworks for under market value and try to sell the bird houses for slightly above.
Snakeskin Armour
With snake skin and a needle and thread, you can create snakeskin armour. It's usually profitable and you get mid-range XP rates.

Snakeskin boots are the most reliable to sell, due to their use in PvP. Going from level 45 when you unlock them to level 99 crafting, you'll profit 75 mil at this point in time.
The XP rates are pretty slow though about 45k per hour with boots. So getting to 99 is going to take over 200 hours. Snakeskin bandanas are also used in PvP and you can make them with 48 crafting. The profit and XP rates are less than boots though, where you'll profit 45 mil getting to 99.
Snakeskin bodies are the most profitable one to make, although you might have some trouble selling them on the Grand Exchange. your profit getting to 99 will be 110 mil.
Making Jewellery
The next profitable crafting training method is making jewellery, and currently the most profitable jewellery to make are opal and topaz bracelets.

That's because they're used in Slayer training and they get consumed fairly quickly, so they're always in high demand. For opal and topaz bracelets you need to use silver bars instead of gold, and the process is exactly the same as regular jewellery.
Making either of these bracelets will net you at least 500k in profit per hour and at the same time you'll get up to 90k crafting XP per hour, which is quite fast.
Dragon Stone bracelets are another highly profitable one, where going from when you unlock them to 99 crafting you'll profit about 100 Mil. The XP rates are fast too, over 130k XP per hour now.
Cutting Gems
This next profitable crafting method is more for high-levelled crafters. Although lower levelled players can still do these methods to break even or at a small loss.

Cutting Opals, Jades or Topaz can be a profitable way to trade. You will always have a chance of failing to cut the gem...even at 99. But the chance is pretty low at that level. You can get XP rates of up to 72k XP per hour and the most profitable one to cut is opal, simply because you have the best chance of not failing.
Cutting Amethyst
Another high level crafting method that's profitable is cutting amethyst into fletching materials. With all of these methods the XP rate is around 160k per hour, and with these you will need a bit of starting capital to buy the amethyst.

The first amethyst item you unlock are bolt tips, which are not profitable. But when you reach level 85 crafting amethyst Arrow tips make 250k in profit per hour. That's really good for getting 160k crafting XP per hour at the same time.
Amethyst Javelin heads have low trade volumes so avoid those, but amethyst dart tips are a profitable option.
Dragonhide Shields
Now for the most profitable method of this video crafting dragonhide Shields. Not many people do this method but you can get up to 1.5 mil G PP per hour with black d'hide Shields.

This requires 83 crafting and you use black dragon leather redwood shields and Rune nails to make them. You profit around 1.4k per shield but I'm not sure how long that will last. You also get 150k Crafting XP per hour green, red and blue d'hide shields. All lose money so don't bother making those.
Toy Cats
The final method I'm showing is excellent for profit, but it's not exactly a good way to get 99 crafting, so I haven't included it in the count for the 10 profitable crafting methods, but I have to show it because it's one of the best crafting money makers.

With 85 crafting you can craft toy cats for 1.5 mil GP profit per hour, and if you did them from level 85 to 99 you would profit 2.2 bil. They're made with one clock work and a plank, then you take that to a crafting table in a player owned house and you follow a similar process to making Clockworks.
For the highest possible GP per hour you should be unnoting at the Remington General Store and getting your butler to bank the toy cats. The downside of this method is that you'll get just under 10k crafting XP per hour, so it's horrible experience, but it's good money.
