What’s going on guys! My name is Theoatrix, and as you can tell by the title, I am now RANK 1 for Ultimate Ironman in Bounty Hunter Rogue. Getting this only took me 5 hours, and this how I did it…
5 Hours Earlier
As an Ironman, you do not gain Combat XP in Player vs Player Combat. This makes Ironmen Accounts great for PKing at a certain level, because you will not gain Combat levels at all.
I originally had the idea of making an Ultimate Ironman Pure, and I still have that account. But, I ended up loving the Ultimate Ironman Game Mode so much, that I lost sight of my original goal of PKing on that Ultimate.
Over time, I have been thinking about how I can get RANK 1 in Bounty Hunter, and I have worked out that by killing looters, it is a lot easier than you might think.
At a low level, Magic might seem like the best option, since it deals the most damage.
But, you still gain Casting XP for Magic in PvP. So, that would still make me level up over time. That left Ranged and Melee, which I think are both decent options. But, I decided to go for Ranged first.
My first thought was – what can I do for Ranged XP without gaining Hitpoints XP? Cannoning is a very obvious one.
But, I wanted to see if there were any alternatives that did not require any resources. A Minigame that does not have a Ranged requirement, but also gives Ranged XP, is Gnome Ball.
The Minigame itself is super easy. The best tactic is to get the ball,
pass it to one of your teammates,
run a little closer to the goal, and spam click the goal while you are getting the ball back.
That always guarantees that you will get a shot without getting tackled.
I tried at least 40 times, and not a single one of my shots went in.
So, my next thought was – XP Lamps. The Client of Kourend Quest gives two 500 XP Lamps, which can be used on any skill. So, I quickly knocked that out of the way, and I used one lamp getting me to 6 Ranged.
This put me at level 5 Combat, which is perfect for attacking level 3 looters when they are above level 2 Wilderness, which is not deep at all.
From Kourend, I made my way back to Lumbridge, and began thieving men to make enough money for an Oak Shortbow and some Arrows.
I did think about getting Steel Knives, which would probably be a much better Damage per Second at my level. But, I firstly wanted to see if the method would work with basic weapons, and if there would be any killable looters in the first place.
As you can see, it is ridiculously easy to kill these level 3 looters.
I do not know if they are Bots or if there is just one person on a lot of accounts. But, quite frankly, these guys suck at playing Runescape. This guy picks up a full inventory of Sharks right in front of me, and then fails to eat when they have one Hitpoint.
After I ran out of Arrows, I did the Stronghold of Security and bought more Arrows, since I did not really need Steel Knives, because the Arrows were working just fine.
So, I am now RANK 1 for Rogue Ultimate Ironman, and that was obviously incredibly easy to do.
Bounty Hunter Rogue is based off non-target kills in a Bounty Hunter World,
and there is also Bounty Hunter Target Ranks, which are based off Target Kills. In my opinion, getting a high Rank there as an Ultimate Ironman would probably be far easier on a Rushing account.
After I put up this article, I am still going to be getting more and more Bounty Hunter Rogue kills to increase my gap as RANK 1. If you want to try and catch up to me, go right ahead! I am up for a challenge.
