What's going on guys, my name's Theoatrix and today I'm showing the best AFK fishing methods in Old School Runescape.

Non-Moving AFK Fishing Spots

Cave Eels - Dorgeshkaan

My pick for the best AFK fishing spot is fishing for cave eels near Dorgeshkaan.

Here, you can AFK for 2-5 minutes depending on your fishing level, and the fishing spot never moves, meaning with one click you get a full inventory of fish, every time.

You first unlock this method with the completion of the Death to the Dorgeshuun quest, and you can start catching cave eels at 28 fishing. Your XP rates really increase once you reach level 37 since you can catch 2 types of eels. And the XP rates range from 11k at unlock, to upwards of 45k fishing XP per hour at 99. You need a regular rod with regular fishing bait to catch these.

Trout & Salmon - Prifddinas

And another fishing spot that doesn't move is the one to the south of Prifddinas, requiring the regicide quest to access.

Here you can fish for trout and salmon, for AFK intervals ranging from 1 to 3 minutes, with longer AFK times at lower fishing levels.

The XP rates here are slightly higher than cave eels, reaching up to 50k XP per hour at level 99.

Pike & Rainbow Fish - Prifddinas

But at this same fishing spot, you can also fish for pike, and also for rainbowfish, by using stripy feathers.

And rainbowfish at this spot are possibly the most AFK fishing method in the game due to their low catch rate. At higher levels, its only possible to get around 25k fishing XP per hour here, but it does have a high drop chance of the pet, which makes it a relaxed way to get the heron.

Karambwans - Karamja

Another fishing spot that never moves is the Karambwan fishing spot, where you can AFK for up to 3 minutes at a time, or even longer with a fish barrel.

It's right next to a fairy ring, which makes it an excellent food source for ironmen, and great fishing XP and cooking XP. Fishing for Karambwans gives 45k XP per hour at higher levels, which is comparable to trout and salmon.

Dark Crabs - Wilderness

And the final non-moving fishing spot that is good for training, is fishing for dark crabs, and these are found deep in the wilderness and in the resource area.

While this fishing spot doesn't move, you still need to pay attention since PK'ers can fight you here. At unlock, at 85 fishing, you already get 40k fishing XP per hour, and 3-5 minute AFK intervals. Going from 85 to 99 here, if you don't get PK'ed, you'll profit over 80 mil in dark crabs.

Moving AFK Fishing Spots

The final methods I'm showing are fishing spots that do move, but you can still AFK for 2 to 5 minutes at a time.

So there's infernal eels, which are decent money, providing 200k GP per hour and around 30k XP per hour.

There's Sacred eels, which are slightly more AFK than most fishing spots, but the spot still moves.

While it doesn't provide much XP per hour, it is a decent way to make money or to get Zulrah scales as an ironman. Your cooking level actually affects your profitability here, where with a higher level, you can earn over 200k profit an hour.

Nostalgic Training Method

And lastly, a nostalgic training method is fishing for monkfish, where the spots move every 2 and a half to 5 minutes.

At 62 fishing, you can get 35k XP per hour here, and you can make it super low intensity by bringing a fish barrel. From 62 to 99 fishing here, you’ll profit 23 mil.
