Now my next tip is really really important. In game, you can go to your settings and then go to “Display name” and you’re able to change your character name within the game client. A question I’ve found on the runescape.com website stated that you have to complete your character name change on the runescape.com website if you’d like to keep your old name available. If you change your name in-game, then your previous name has every chance of being taken and is available to every other player. So what you should take away from that, if you’re changing your name and thinking of going back to your previous name, don’t use the in-game name changer, change your name on runescape.com.
