The woodcutting guild and the fishing guild actually give you an invisible level boost of +7 to your woodcutting or fishing level. And these are actually stackable with the special attack of the dragon axe and the dragon harpoon. Now with a boosted woodcutting level, you’re able to chop trees and get logs at a faster rate. There is a ⅛ chance for all of the trees in Runescape above the oak trees, that when you’re cutting it and receive a log, that the tree will fall down. So having a boosted woodcutting level does mean that the trees will fall down more often. But you do receive more logs and more xp despite that happening.
